Void bastards patients12/7/2023 If there is 20 things of food in the STEV, why would BACS jettison it right? If you keep your built gear, then shouldn't you keep all the things in the STEV? I can understand losing everything if a Void Whale eats the STEV, but dying on a wreck, at worst, would see you lose the ammo of that current loadout. It doesn't make sense why you would lose all your ammo, fuel, and such forth when you die. A Hard Bastard run is significantly harder, if you die more than once, for example. Currently the game is easier if you stay alive, than it is if you die. Or maybe the developers will fix these issues in VB1, who knows, but I'm operating on the assumption that they probably won't, so these are things for VB2. But that is just a guess. So as it seems that future DLC is unlikely, these are the things I hope VB2 addresses, that are core problems of VB1. It is probable that many locations of the star map have an extra route to them, and this trait makes those visible to you and if you lacked the trait, you'd never see them. The only times I've seen it, is when I have extremely desirable traits, and didn't want to replace any of them with Navigator. and the last upgrade gives a 5% chance of finding 3 of the same item or 3 of the same rare part.Ħ] I've never actually managed to get a run, with the Navigator trait. The next upgrade has a 5% chance of finding 3 of the same item or 2 of the same rare part. The next upgrade gives 5% chance of finding 3 of the same item. I believe the base Decompiler gives a 5% chance of finding 2 of the same item. Very useful for "High Security" ships.ĥ] The Decompiler gives a rare chance of finding extra salvage in a container. H) You can also hack the security terminal to disable all security elements on a floor. So if you can trap it in the security room, and lock the door, it can't get out. G) The only door they cannot open, are the paid security doors. But again, you have to get it out of its charge station, as the hack button is on its rear, which is normally unreachable until they move.į) They will show up on the map, if you purchase the map in the command / pilot area of the ship (the place where you can get a map of all the loot locations). Or stunning them and then laying Clusterflucks near them.Į) You can hack them into an ally, with an specific system upgrade. I believe alert duration is also based on difficulty, so its 120 seconds on Hard Bastard and like 30 seconds on the Easiest.ĭ) SecBots are quite stupid, so laying down explosives in their path is quite effective. So if you hide effectively, it will eventually give up and return to its charge station. If a new camera spots you, it resets the timer back to 120 seconds. I think its like 120 seconds though, and it adds +1-3 seconds, every time the SecBot sees you (so it won't deactivate mid-battle with you). If the cameras are inactive or friendly, then nothing happens to make SecBots mad.ī) You can also use the Rifter on a SecBot.Ĭ) Alerts, caused by the Cameras, eventually fade. They only get hostile if security cameras spot you and the cameras are hostile towards you. They are also ammo for the Whackem.Ī) You can destroy them when they are inactive, in their charging booth, and they never get hostile. Its generally not enough though, to actually survive a close-quarters battle with a Screw.ģ] Cleverly renamed Tide Pods, most likely. You heal per damage tick applied to them, so the faster you suck, the faster you get HP. I believe patients (tiny heads) give 1 hp per hit, and screws are up to 5 hp per hit, with the amount somewhere in between for all other enemy types. When out of fuel, a move is 10 days, which can rapidly obliterate your food supply.Ģ] The amount of drain, of the Whackem, depends on the enemy type. G) In the off chance that you run out of fuel, the Warp Cell only counts for 1 day. Again, like a Void Whale, death ignores Heartstarters. And the part they give is generally trash.į) Avoiding a NUK mine at low HP. These are generally very hard to catch with normal flight, and often have a good part in them.Į) Avoiding flying into a Hermit. And you might not be able to reach it with normal flight.ĭ) Capturing a Garbage Collector. Maybe it has a part you want, or it has a gene therapy machine, or a really good enemy combo/ship combo. I've played for quite some time, so I'll try to answer these to the best of my ability:ġ] Warp Keys are great for several situations =>Ī) Evading a "wandering gene" when you have desirable traits.ī) Evading a "pirate or void whale" when you lack torpedoes (void whale especially as they will end your character, no matter how many heartstarters you possess).Ĭ) Reaching a ship that you really, really want to board.
